Anshu Poudel

Willie L. Brown Fellow

Anshu Poudel was born in a small village on the outskirts of Kathmandu, Nepal. She gained two homes when she moved to the Bay Area. Anshu found a passion for Public Health because of being raised on the ideals of kinship and community. She has a deep-rooted passion for social justice and equity. As a major in Public Health at San Francisco State University, she has been focusing her research on Asian American Community Health Issues. Anshu is also part of the Health Education Student Association, which helps students at San Francisco State University with networking and finding opportunities. In her free time, she likes taking walks with her grandmother, cooking, reading, watching movies, and taking photos.
